STABL News: new hires, new contacts and new opportunities

It’s been a long time since the last STABL News blog post, when we announced the partnership with e.battery systems. Since then, a lot happened in the world, in Germany, and of course here at STABL Energy in beautiful Obersendling in Munich. The team grew, we attended our first trade fair in person since the start of the pandemic, and most importantly, closed our seed investment round. We’ll talk you through it one by one:

Our new team members

First things first, we want to welcome our new full-time hires. The latest additions to the party are Akshai and Julian who will both support our development team.

Akshai will work as an Embedded Software Engineer. In his leisure time, he enjoys cycling. He also is a passionate drummer and a trained classical percussionist. Professionaly, he enjoys low level coding and used to work in an international team in Berlin to develop drivers for wireless communication technologies. The vision of STABL Energy made him curious but what really convinced him to choose STABL Energy was when he met the team for the last step of the application process.

Akshai Murukakumar Embedded Software Engineer

Why I joined STABL Energy? Experience day. It was an excellent way to understand what was expected out of me and ascertain if I could justify myself and the team. I could immediately notice the challenges and the opportunities; hence I accepted the offer. Also, the onboarding process afterwards was very smooth, and I would like to thank Julian, Chris, Arthur, Nam and everyone in the team for the smooth onboarding.

We also welcome Julian, who will work as a Senior Modeling Engineer and own the simulation of our power electronics system. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his road bike and woodworking. His work will help us gather faster insights and accelerate the development and debugging process. We asked him why he chose STABL Energy as a new challenge after working four years as a research assistant at Technical University of Munich:

I wanted to work at a company striving for sustainability and making a contribution to the energy transition. STABL Energy works on highly efficient and safe battery storage systems, which support and stabilize the grid connection of renewables. On top of that, the creative and agile working environment of a young startup gives me lots of freedom in the way I do my work, which is challenging and exciting at the same time.

A successful first trade fair in person

The pandemic has hit all industries hard, but especially those of trade show builders and organizers. Since March 2020, events were canceled or held as digital events, but from 06.10 to 08.10. this year it was finally time: The Smarter E Europe Restart 2021 could take place as a presence event and thus marks the first „real-life“ trade fair for STABL Energy.

At this point we would like to thank the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, which enabled us the easy participation via the joint stand „Innovation – Made in Germany“ alongside with other successful start-ups such as FairFleet or NRGSync.

Despite the Corona measures that prevailed in Bavaria at the time and although many players such as sonnen or VARTA Storage did not have their own booth, the fair was well attended and we were able to get in touch with numerous interested parties and potential partners and customers.

As a final highlight, our CEO, Nam Truong, presented the STABL technology on the Start-up Stage and answered questions from the audience to highlight the advantages of the STABL technology for end customers and storage manufacturers.
