The cooperation partner

e.battery systems is a company based in Dornbirn (Voralberg/Austria) that develops and manufactures customer-specific battery systems for various applications. Thus, e.battery systems positions itself as a technology leader in the field of lithium-ion technology. After its founding in 2019, the spin-off of Akku-Mäser GmbH has already secured orders worth 50 million euros and won a German automotive manufacturer as a supplier for second-life batteries.

Sustainable and safe battery storage

Due to the fact that our inverter technology is modular and software-based, used battery modules from vehicles can be installed together in a storage system without having to go through a complex process of matching the individual batteries beforehand. This makes the storage system both more economical and more ecological, as it saves costs in the procurement of batteries and extends their service life, thus promoting sustainability.

The combination of the modular approach of our inverters and the modular system of e.battery systems plays a decisive role here. Last but not least, the complete system is also fail-safe, since our technology means that a malfunction of a single battery does not lead to a failure of the entire system.

Market launch 2022

The joint product with e.battery systems will be launched as early as next spring and will enrich the European battery storage market. A worldwide expansion is planned afterwards. To this end, a first prototype will be developed in the coming months so that certification can finally be carried out at the end of the year.

We look to the future with confidence

This brings us a good step closer to our goal of sustainable and safe battery storage systems, and we can look to the future with confidence. The agreed cooperation shows that we are on the right track and that the topic of Second Life in particular is becoming increasingly important. Our technology can make an important contribution to successfully mastering this change.
