Amsterdam, The Netherlands – 22 March 2019. STABL/m-Bee came through as one of ten finalists from over 220 competitors in the worldwide InnoEnergy call for electrical energy storage systems and pitched in front of the jury and audience. In the renowned Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam, STABL only had to admit defeat to the teams from Battrion and instagrid after long consultation. The two winners were each awarded €100,000.
“Energy storage is the linchpin technology for the clean energy system of the future,” affirms Diego Pavia, InnoEnergy CEO.
STABL (formerly known as m-Bee) was invited to the NH Hotel in Berlin as one of the 20 best teams of Science4Life. Nam and Martin attended the two-day seminar with individual coaching to get feedback for the business plan and workshops on financing and intellectual property. In addition, a 20 second teaser was shot in which the idea of STABL was presented in a very compact way:
The award ceremony took place at the state representation of Hessen. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite enough for us, but with the new feedback we will register for the next phase of the competition and the revised business plan.
On 3 and 4 May, many innovative e-vehicles can be experienced on the test track. In addition, pioneers of e-mobility will be giving insights into their ideas in various lectures. A home game for STABL, as we will also be presenting our innovative battery inverters on the grounds of the Bundeswehr University.
On the test track, visitors can experience various electric vehicles: from electric skateboards to sports cars, up close and personal. Lectures will also be held on the subject of e-mobility. For example, STABL has the honor of concluding the event with a lecture on Saturday afternoon.
Nam Truong and Arthur Singer visited the Energy Storage Europe (ESE) in Düsseldorf to talk to potential customers and better understand our market. At the parallel International Renewable Energy Storage Conference (IRES), Nam presented our technology to a professional audience. The accompanying scientific publication is called “A Novel, Scalable, Low-Cost and High-Efficiency Battery Storage System Topology” and was written by Nam Truong, Arthur Singer, Martin Sprehe, Christoph Dietrich, Holger Hesse, Andreas Jossen, and Thomas Weyh.
About the ESE and IRES
The European Association for Renewable Energy EUROSOLAR hosts its 13th International Conference on Renewable Energy Storage (IRES 2019) from 12th to 14th March 2019 as an integral part of the International Renewable Energy Storage / Energy Storage Europe (IRES/ESE) Conference and Exhibition at Messe Düsseldorf, Germany.
Our press release on the founding of STABL (at the time m-Bee) was published by several trade magazines. pv-magazine Germany, the leading trade-magazine for decision makers in the solar industry, reports on our vision for sustainability. Furthermore, Solarserver.de, one of the first and most read internet portals for the energy revolution, has written about our electronics for battery storages.
