The nationwide day of action for cliché-free career guidance for boys and girls will take place this year on April 27, 2023. STABL Energy is taking part for the first time this year.
Women are still underrepresented in the energy sector. They are particularly rare in technical professions. However, there are also positive developments: More and more girls are training in technical professions and women are generally more likely to pursue a career in the energy sector.
We want to support young girls in their future career choices and will be giving them a glimpse behind the scenes of our energy transition start-up on Girls Day 2023. In addition to an introduction and a presentation of STABL technology, there will be an opportunity to visit the workshops and the lab. Over lunch with an international team, you can talk about many different professions.
Gender stereotypes when choosing a career: Why it's important to break stereotypes
Gender stereotypes can contribute to women opting for traditionally “female” professions when choosing a career and thus being discouraged from technical professions. It is important to break these stereotypes and encourage women to enter fields such as the energy transition in order to create a fairer and more sustainable future.
